Kabul, Afghanistan-This mother and daughter are among the families being assisted by the Mennonite Central Committee and Church World Service. In just 4 provinces around Kabul (out of Afghanistan's 29 provinces) 5,000 homes were destroyed and 2,500 civilians killed during the U.S. War in Afghanistan.
The COGPF sent $935 to provide a House Kit for one family. The Kit includes all materials to rebuild a house and a latrine-doors, windows, wooden beams and planks, cement, and pipes. The family makes the mud bricks and builds the home with the help of neighbors.
